Potato is a very common vegetable which is liked by all people.Potato fry is a very simple recipe to be prepared with basic ingredients.It can be served with steamed rice, rasam itself.Now lets check out the recipe.
Ingredients :
Potatoes - 3 large chopped
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tblsp
Salt - to taste
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Dry Red Chilli - 2
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal/Ulundhu paruppu - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - spring
Coconut Oil - 3 tblsp
Method :
- Firstly, take 3 large potatoes and peel them.Chop into medium size pieces and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add urad dal,mustard seeds,dry red chillies and curry leaves.
- Saute it and then add the chopped potatoes.
- Toss well in the oil for about 1 min.
- Add turmeric powder and salt to taste.Mix them well.
- Add red chilli powder and stir it for a while.
- Mix well and cover & cook on low flame.
- Now open the lid and cook it on medium flame till the potatoes are roasted well.
- Keep on stirring in-between.
- Serve hot with rice.

Add salt to taste
Mix them well
Add chilli powder
Mix well
Cover & cook
Roast till crispy
